The documentary MEN WHO LOVE MEN attempts to explore the many aspects of gay identity and sexuality and to make them tangible for a broad target group.
What does it mean to be gay in our society? How do gay men perceive our society's view of themselves? How has their sexual orientation influenced their lives? How do they live their sexuality? We have asked these and many more questions to homosexual men in 11 interviews in various German cities. They talk about their personal experiences, about life and love. The different perspectives result in a colourful spectrum of opinions and experiences.
We wish for more tolerance and acceptance. We want to contribute to an open dialogue without taboos. More love. For everyone.
From the beginning, it was important to us to work independently of institutions and official funding pots. In order to be able to give this topic space in a qualitatively appropriate setting and to do justice to the people who so courageously share their experiences and thoughts with us, we have partially financed the project through a crowdfunding campaign.
