The book »Sometimes I feel beautiful, sometimes I feel ugly.« is searching for an alternative ideal of beauty for women in contemporary photography in the West. Nine international photographers have put together a series of images, which are supplemented by an interview. At the end of the book, the subjective points of view of the photographers are given an objective counterweight in the form of psychological, sociological and political texts that analyze the social context.
