The Geometric Vases series puts the materiality of clay in the foreground. Abstract geometric forms in combination with different types of clay create a spectrum of colours, surfaces and shapes. With one exception, glazes are not used in order to emphasise the colours of the different types of clay. The series is constantly expanded with new types of clay and shapes. A repertoire of basic shapes is used to generate new objects. Despite the geometric appearance, each object is elaborately handcrafted and thus has minimal deviations.
