This season, the Young Ensemble of the Theatre Rüsselsheim is dealing with sound and tonality. The play is based on an adaptation of Hamlet, which is transferred to the present day and the realities of the young actors' lives. As with other Shakespeare plays, a tradition of a certain motif is already established. In the case of Hamlet it is the skull. This motif is taken up for the poster, but strongly modernised and – in keeping with the adaptation – changed from drama to comedy. The otherwise often dramatic heaviness of Hamlet is replaced by youthful liveliness.
